Raised beds

This is the progression of our front lawn being transformed into new productive beds. We are very busy this week getting the work done while hubbie is on vacation. Will post photos of progress when I find more time. These are the photos from over the weekend.

Can't wait to see the progress. I've been so busy with the kids off from school that I haven't had a chance to get out. Tomorrow we are headed to Boston for a tour of the State House for Christian's People to People group. Then hopefully lunch in the public garden. I'm crossing my fingers for good weather. Enjoy your day and the beautiful weather that's on our way.

Regards,
Sheila

These photos were from early lst week. We now have 2 finished bed structures, waiting to be filled with planting mixture. The paths between both are done. I have filled one path with crushed blue stone. The rain from the past 2 days has really helped to seal it in the cracks!
Hubbie is planning to finish the last bed today as well as 3 small beds from the scrap for Mia and the grandkids!
What a great opportunity for them to learn at such an early age where some of their food comes from.
I plan to leave their gardens up to them to tend, so that they can learn through experience how things need to be maintained. I will give each a good sized cherry tomato plant as a start!

Don't forget to let me know if you need the tractor to move the dirt.
